My mum is Indian and my dad is English. I've never been to India... I'd really like to one day though.

Sorry - this has nothing to do with liver candy

Majicou, My guess is that the Americans were speaking of the Native Americans when they said Indian (ie Navaho, Apache, Blackfoot) because Columbus thought he had reached India. We are gradually getting used to calling these original Americans "The Native American Nations." After hundreds of years, it's taking us a while to adjust to the change. Of course we have Indian people living here also (from the country of India.)

We have plenty of moose here in Sweden and when the autumn comes the woods are crowded with hunters, among them my mother and her fiancé. The hunters don't care about the livers, they just want the meat so if one asks them for a liver, one will get one for free. And the liver from a moose is big so it lasts for quite som time.

The meat from a moose is probably the tastiest meat in the world. Sadly, I've turned into a vegitarian so I don't eat meat any longer.

I have seen buffalo burgers offered at the mall, but never tasted one. It hasn't been long since they were endangered. (and I don't want to, anyway! )

No moose here, either. Would mice work? j/k. Seriously, though, do you suppose I could use beef or chicken liver, instead? And, if so, would the directions (i.e. boiling, etc.) be the same? Is salt good for pooty tats?

A liver from mice might wotk but I guess you have to find a lot of mice then Beef or chicken liver is equally good and the directions are the same. The boiling time might be shorter. If you want to add salt that's OK but it's not necessary. Good luck!
