nothing's better for a cat than real meat! this makes about 5 servings as a meal, 8 as a treat.
- 2 cups chopped or shredded turkey meat (dark and/or white) - 3 tablespoons turkey gravy, turkey juices, or turkey baby food (for moisture) - 1 hard boiled egg (peeled and diced) or scrambled egg (optional) - dash of catnip (optional) mix it all in a bowl and serve cold or at room temperature. 1/4 cup should be plenty for one cat as a meal, serve less as a treat. my 3 cats are bonkers over this stuff! simple pleasure. i'm not an animal nutritionist, but i suppose this could be a substitute for wet food if you add the following (and do yr homework - 1 tbsp olive oil - 2 tbsp baby food mixed vegetables - 1 dose feline vitamin-mineral supplement per serving

As long as the gravy or baby food has no onions or garlic in it, it's fine to feed as a treat or occasional meal but to make it a balanced diet one has to consider the delicate calcium to phosphorous ration that cats need and vitamin and mineral supplements. Your recipe would be great to feed as an occasional once a week meal since it is not nutritionally complete but wouldn't hurt to eat every now and then. It's like an occasional meal of sardines or tuna. Should not be the main diet but once in a while it's ok.
