Found this in a book I'm reading. Add to this the nutritional mix mentioned in another post: http://catforum.com/viewtopic.php?p=84753#84753
To me this sounds like it can be greatly simplified with the same results, and also I don't like the idea of cooked meat. Any opinions? Quote:

This one is making it harder than it "homecooking" needs to be. I would never have the patience to do all that.
I don't even think I would find Japansese garlic extract, beet-root juice powder or blackstrap molasses in Sweden. And of course, it isn't raw It brakes my first rule: 1. Keep it simple! |

its fine as long as you: 1 pound ground chicken or ground beef RAW 1/4 cup canned mackerel or 1/2 cup sardines - RAW 4 ounces tofu or grated cheddar cheese - CUT OUT 2 eggs, scrambled or hard-boiled - RAW 2 cups wild rice, cooked, or 1 1/2 cups cooked oatmeal flavored with a little fish broth or fish oil - CUT OUT 1 cup cooked black beans, mashed - CUT OUT 1/4 cup grated carrots or asparagus or other grated raw vegetables - if you want 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil - CUT OUT AND SUPPLEMENT WITH FBO 1 teaspoon safflower oil - CUT OUT - can cats even digest safflower oil? 1 1/2 teaspoons liquid aged-garlic extract from Japan - CUT OUT 1/2 teaspoon beet-root-juice powder - CUT OUT 1 tablespoon blackstrap molasses or sorghum - CUT OUT add in: ORGAN MEAT!!!!!and WHERE ON EARTh is the calcium in this diet????? you need BONES or bonemeal!
