Hi. My cat had diarrhea. The vet put her on non-allergenic food. She hardly eats it. Last week I baked a chicken leg. I have been giving her about a tablespoon or 2 a day. It has been seperate from her food. So far, her bowels are fine. But she eats even less of the food the vet prescribed. How much chicken should I give her per day? Should I bake it or boil it or give it to her raw? What about other foods and nutrients? I am new to feeding my cat homemade food. Tell me as much and as soon as possible. I am also disabled and I would like recipes which are not time consuming. Thank you.

You can find several helpful links here: http://www.cat-world.com.au/Nutrition.htm
I raw feed my cats so I prefer raw meat, but you have to determine how safe that is in your area. In Sweden we don't have a problem with Salmonella or antibiotics in chicken so here raw chicken is safe. |
