Those 'weak moments' are the healing grief you are feeling and are a good thing. It says you miss her, that you loved and cherished her and she will always be part of you. It also says you are healing. Remembering is the basis of healing and all that grief will turn into fond memories in the future when the rawness of your loss is blunted.

Hang in there, kiddo. It will get better and soon you will smile fondly when you think of Miss Stink instead of cry with grief.

I hate visiting this section because I always start shedding a tear after I read just a few.

Condolences to your loss of Miss Stink, and all the others here I did not leave a message to.

I dread the inevitable day (hopefully not for a long time!) when I have to go through this with my own Kitty. Even though she's young, I know the day will come when I will lose her. And when I think of that it makes me appreciate her all the more while she's here.

I have a photo of a cat my family once had, and I took this photo of her the day before we had to put her to sleep. Every time I look at the photo I start crying. Sometimes I've even started crying when I describe to someone having to put her to sleep.

And this happened way back in the early 90's!
