Wow, that is so moving and so true, almost brought me to tears !
Rescuers are amazing and without them so many more animals would suffer, die and be put to sleep. They do an amazing job !

1)I don't think that's a true story.
2)I don't belive in the Rainbow Bridge. I only belive in heaven. I belive that If you belive in God, you go to heaven and all your pets will come rushing to great you.

Yes..I am a christian.

You are totally missing the point. Obviously the story isn't "true". It was written as a way to include animals who weren't fortunate enough to have had owners, but were loved anyway by people who tried to make them well. The Rainbow Bridge IS heaven. I believe in both the Rainbow Bridge and heaven...AND I'm Christian, too.

Reread the story.

I know this is an old post but i am new here and have just read it. The story for me is one of great comfort, that even the forgotton ones are not really forgotton. This was clearly written by a lover of animals intented to bring comfort and hope to the people affected by the great injustice that our beloved pets go through. This story affected me deeply as im sure it has many others, so i think God for the author. Not only am i a Christian, i am a preacher. So i feel any positive and uplifting words can be nothing but a great thing. God bless...

I have always believed that shelter animals will cross with their rescuers.
I have known several shelter pets who never found a home because they needed the kind of medical care laymen could not give at home, and I have seen the grief of the rescuers.

I told them that Julius and Susie would have to choose one of them to cross the bridge with, and it would be such a hard choice for them, as they had had so many animal shelter volunteers loving them so very much..... They had received so much love from all of them, given so much love in return.....
