Default Trolls: How to Handle the Situation

When it is obvious that you have encountered a troll, it is important to contact the moderators. Do not reply, not even with the word "TROLL!" Trolls want a reaction. If they get answers, especially shocked ones, they are more likely to return. If you notify the mods, we will move the posts out of sight. No attention? No reaction? No fun for the troll! Administration then removes their accounts permanently.

We appreciate your help!

I'm sorry-- This may seem like a dumb question, but what exactly is a Troll? Someone that just makes bad posts?

Pretty much yes.
They can range from posting not so nice replies to threads, horrible things they do or happen to cats, posting horrible pictures and in some cases pretty nasty porn.

As Jeanie has said, send a PM to the mods and esp Catman as he is the only person who can ban the account. If you pm the mods we can remove the posts until the account is banned.

Trolls make a hobby out of upsetting people at internet message boards. The website's subject and content are irrelevant; a troll will post anywhere, just to cause trouble. When you find a truly outrageous response to someone's legitimate post, you're probably reading some troll's handiwork. It's best just to ignore such messages. A troll takes real delight in getting attention and generating huge message threads about his/her comments.

Yeah, what else can you do when you are 3'9", weigh 480 lbs., have no life, no girlfriend, severe facial acne and an oozing red rash all over your body?

I like how you showed the grey waves of stink coming off it, that was a nice touch!
