I've bought several cornish hens from Whole Foods. I cut them into chunks with bone-in except the thick leg bones. My cats liked the cornish hens and so did I since they are small bird that's easy to handle.
The problem is that it's soooo expensive from the Whole foods. Where do you get the Cornish Hen? I saw grocery stores have the Tyson frozen cornish hen and they are not as expensive. But I don't really trust those big brands. What do you think? Last edited by ccomaya; 01-15-2013 at 12:41 AM. |

You could try online places like hare today. You could also try local farmers (you should be able to find them at the farmer's market).

I buy them at the local big chain grocery stores. Any brand; just handle safely, i.e., don't leave out in the car or on the counter top. I do find them expensive, almost $3 per pound. I also buy quail, equally expensive, but the bones are really small.
