Default Duck for raw feeding?

Im thinking of trying to include duck in my next batch of food- does anyone have an opinion on this? has anyone tried it? its just as fine as chicken or quail or hen, yeah?

Just wanted to get some opinions before i bought the duck.

Ritz likes duck, but then she likes any kind of protein, including goat and goose.
If your cat likes chicken, he will probably like duck. The meat is considerably darker than chicken. And much stronger in flavor than quail.
A couple of points/caveats: duck is very fatty, so just a little at first.
If the duck is from a hunter, freeze first to kill any potential parasites. Better safe than sorry.

If any body is ever wondering how the duck turned out, the cat liked it a lot. And second, you'll find the duck has a lot of skin (fat) like the poster above me mentioned. Next, it provides a much greater bone ratio then meat. Which is good. I still have some duck bone left over from 4 or 5 months ago ( i use other bone at the same time for variety).

Glad they liked it!

My cats, all three of them, went absolutely bonkers for the whole duck I cut up for them. I hope I can find another, when this one is gone, it was pure chance that I found it. Usually the frozen ducks sold in the stores are "enhanced" with "flavoring". This one wasn't.
