Default New Rule Regarding Editing/Deleting Your Posts

Hi,

The mod team has decided to shorten the time limit on the ability for users to edit their posts. The time limit is now set to 5 minutes and users cannot delete theirs posts.

If you have any questions, please let me know. Thanks.

Yung

Even if no-one has actually replied yet? I understand the reasoning behind not being able to delete a post once it has been answered (although I did have a darn good reason for wanting to delete mine yesterday - no doubt my 'behaviour' is what has triggered this off) but I don't see the harm in deleting a post if no-one has commented on it.

This has nothing to do with what you posted yesterday.

It has to do with people changing/deleting their posts hours or days after others have replied, so the thread no longer makes sense.

I am pretty sure it's a case of 'delete or not delete' and it can't be set up so that a post can be deleted if there are no replies.

Well, I disagree with the notion that a person is denied the possibility of changing their mind regarding a post if no-one has replied, but there you go.

You can always ask for one of the mods to remove it if you like.

I don't think I can correct all my initial typos that fast.

Hi Administrator,

First of all I do not see why you let the moderators decide. Since one of them has a habit of "correcting" my posts if she does not like them or to suite her needs. I am sorry that is wrong.

If you want to know who that is I will let you know privately. In fact the Moderator might change this post .

Five minutes is not enough time to change anything. If you are going to keep it this way I expect ALL my posts to deleted. Since Moderators change them anyway. So they do not make sense anyway.

Best of luck.

The "mod team" consists of all the mods AND Yung.

Your posts are only edited when you post something not allowed by the rules. And the rules you break are always clearly laid out when your posts require editing.

What a wonderful idea! I mean we've had thousands of posts that have been edited 65 years after posting.

The ONLY posts I've seen which make no sense after editing, have been edited by mods.
