Default Include Topic Section on Threads That Appear on Home Page

Would it be possible to include the Forum topic area in the threads that appear on the home page?

This has happened before and just happened again. I saw the thread title, "Bunnies are here!" and I thought oh cool, someone must have rabbits as pets. I open it only to find that the rabbits are food for the cats' raw diets . . . which I would have known if it had indicated it was in the Raw Food section. It didn't, I didn't know, and now I feel like I've been kicked in the stomach. I'm really bothered by the thought of rabbits being set up as cat food like that, and as a city dweller my whole life, I just can't imagine someone having the stomach to kill them. I know I'm sensitive about this, but I also couldn't be the only one. I don't know what makes our cats' lives so precious and the rabbits' lives so expendable.

With thread topics being as ambiguous as they sometimes are, it's impossible to know which topics are okay to open. Please, can you give us the tools to figure out which ones we should avoid??

We will ask Yung about this, I know what you mean.

In the meantime, if you just click on 'new posts' to the left, it does show you the section they have been made on.

Will let you know when we get an update

Yeah, the "Bunnies are here!" thread made it sound exciting....but turns out not so exciting for the bunnies.
They are cute too amd make great pets.

October - I also clicked on it by mistake.

Me too...
One thing I do, is bookmark the forums page, so I have the topics already there, then I do what Xanti said, and click on new posts.

I tend to avoid certain sections because I have nothing to contribute (eg ferals and raw feeding threads), and so that way I avoid wasting time reading stuff I don't want to.

I too would find that a helpful feature, and I had a similar reaction to the bunny thread, not knowing it was about raw food until I had read a little too much.

Just like Huge, I just bookmark the forums page. If I ever want to see the 'home page' for any reason (which is very seldom) I just click on the CF logo in the left corner.
