Just as an experiment, I thought I'd start a TV thread to let people know what's on the telly. It might not work that well considering the wide variety of countries people are from, but as it's fairly easy to find tv programs online nowadays, people (legal means only please, obviously), then people can still recommend things.

The Proms is on at the moment, and with an even wider range of music than ever before, it should have something to suit most tastes.

I would also recommend the very very good BBC four documentaries on various important musical figures. The ones on John Lennon and Johnny Cash were very good.
