yeah i have to say it's very true. non clumping is a pain to clean. swheatscoops, a clumping but non betonite litter, is supposedly extremely good. but way out of my budget.

that having been said, my cats used clumping for a couple of years and they're ok. but i would definitely keep kitties away from it. i'm mostly worried about ingestion so i'd rather play it safe than end up at an emergency vet.

apparently you should keep post surgery cats away from clumping too.
