Question Question on Change in Behaviour

I adopted Petey on 10/9/12 (7 mos old) and he has been a mix of playfulness and sleepiness. He listened really well at first. He knows and answers to his name. He also understands the word "No". That is until the time change.

He is now more aggressive towards my husband. He doesn't listen as well, and he digs at the carpet. He can leave the room so he isn't trying to get out. He also seems to see something on the walls I don't see. Most likely shadows, etc. however it seems like he is staring right through you.

Did anyone else notice this in their cat? Petey is now 8 mos old.

Is he fixed? Males tend to get aggressive as they come into sexual maturity and may view your husband as competition...

He was neutered 2 1/2 months before we got him. He has calmed down now, but is still acting weird from time to time.

I am going to start noting what and when he goes through these stretches and see if there is a pattern. If something is bothering him, I want to remove it if possible.

Even if he's already fixed, 6+ months is kitty puberty time. He isn't having the testosterone surge as he's neutered, but he's still sorting out dominance issues and trying to figure out his place in the household.
