I have had "Ricky" now for a month. He is 16weeks old. We love him, but he sure meows a lot! He gets plenty of attention, food, clean water and littler box, but he hangs out in the kitchen while we prepare a meal and meows. AND if I go outside he cries, even if my husband is in the house to keep him company. One website said to spray him with the squirt bottle if he cries too much to stop the behavior. I feel like he is very insecure. Ragdolls follow their owners from room to room. That isn't a problem, we love it. But it's as if he must have interaction or he cries. any suggestions?

Don't spray with water - it could get in his ears and cause an infection.
What about a second cat? Mine love to play together.

Joy is the same way... Meow meow for attention! That or food! You really can't mute a hungry at or kitten! Our little ragdoll talks up a storm whenever its close to food time! You think we are starving her! LOL
