Hi I'm debbie and i'm 32 yo and I am a fairly new kitty owner. I had 2 dogs for 16 years, Casey and nibbles. Casey passed from cancer in 2009 at 14 yo, she was a black lab mix. My nibbles just passed in march of this year at 16 yo, he was a beagle mix. He has cushings, diabetes and went blind for the last year of his life. It was really devastating going through this with him and watching him rapidly decline on the last few months.
When he passed, I said no more animals cause I just couldn't go through it again. Then on October 10th I saw my neighbor carrying a cat carrier around and didn't want her to take away a stray we have been taking care of with a half tail and really cute. I asked if it was Sophie (stray, half tail kitty) in there and she said no its someone else and to come see her. I go out back and there's this little baby kitty in the car and they handed her to me. I picked her up and she licked my face. Immediately fell in love, end of story
She's 8-9 months old and we love the spoiled brat! They found her wandering the streets and took her in. She was really clean so she couldn't have been out there long. I can't understand how people just let throw there animals out
Took her to the vet and left her to be spayed and shots. The vet called to say her preop results had her alt levels at 786- normal is no more than 100. The vet is an hour away and they were close do we picked her up on the morning and she was put on amoxicillin and more dewormer for 2 weeks. Results dropped to 180 so she was spayed and is good to go now, thank god!
