Hi,

Cat lover here. Found the forum through Google. Haven't had a cat since I lived at home with my parents. That was an outdoor cat.

Now that the kids are all past the toddler stage, we're contemplating adding an additional family member of the four legged type. But I've never lived with an indoor cat before, some I've been lurking to do some research. Ready to start participating.

GREAT choice to come here!! I'v really enjoyed this forum and have found the advice sound and very helpful. Exactly what do mean by "past the toddler stage"?? Are they preschool, high school, or college grads? That would help alot with our advice.

And just a piece of (hopefully) helpful advice: there is an "edit" button which is good for 5 minutes after you post - no second post typo correction needed if you use that. Just click it, make your changes and click save. Easy peasy.

Also, my husband is from Auburn and we have family in Birmingham and Auburn.
