I've just joined your group and I look forward to knowing many of you. I have had cats since I was a little girl. My precious Gabby died about five years ago, and I hestitated to replace her all these years because she was so perfect. I miss her everyday. My kids who live in Texas convinced me to bring home one of the five kittens they rescued when the mother cat abandoned them. It was a tough decision, but we drove to Texas to bring home Dobby (short-haired butterscotch and white male) and Zazzles (a female calico), both named by my grandson. Dobby comes from the character in the Harry Potter series and Zazzles comes from the Big Bang Theory TV show. These little monkies are into everything, but they are so entertaining. I'm happy we brought two of them home because as brother and sister in the same litter, they are so affectionate with each other and are great play pals.
