Default Hello from Sunny Phoenix!

I have seven cats of my own, and am currently fostering two others for a local animal rescue. Most of my own cats are what we call "foster failure"...I fell in love with them before they made it to an adoption event. I usually foster anywhere from 2-10 kittens during kitten season. The two fosters I have are two years old. I have had them since they were 6 weeks, but they are still very timid and need a very special person to adopt them. I will take care of them and love them until that special person comes along.

I just recently lost my boy "Timmy" to cancer. Timmy turned my husband into a cat lover 8 years ago, when we found him and his sister abandoned and almost dead in our backyard at only 2-3 days old. We took turns bottle feeding them and they became our children.

Our cats are: GeorgiaBelle (Timmy's sister), Monkey (polydactyl), Hobie (we found him on our roof 3 years ago), Zookie (who loves everyone and everything), sisters Zeva and Weechee, and our lasted foster failure Sweet Caroline. Our fosters are Hope and Heddy.

Welcome AZKittyKitty! Sounds like you have quite the family going on! At least you don't need to worry about your water bowls freezing in Phoenix!! (Note tone of jealousy in my post!!).

You sound such a good person. I did work in Phoenix several years ago with the Wales Tourist Board (now Visit Wales) - a thick, woolly, historical costume wasn't ideal for your weather conditions!! Thank goodness for air conditioning!!!

Hi AZ, Welcome! I also have 7 kitties. I know better than to try and foster as I know they will become "permanent fosters"! It's so easy to fall in love.
I am so very sorry that you lost your boy Timmy. I lost my Ashley last October to intestinal cancer so I understand......

Thank you for the warm welcome! The warm weather is definitely a godsend in the winter months...probably shouldn't tell you it is 76 right now!
Jasmine, very sorry for your loss as well. I hope your 7 kitties gave you comfort as mine did. It never ceases to amaze me how they can sense emotion, and be there when you need them...even the craziest wild kitty calmed down for a few days and comforted me.
