After much debate my husband finally conceded and we got a lovely cat from a family who's dog was getting too aggressive.
Now a week later he has FLUTD. Emerg trip later and were hoping the wet food and prescription will make him himself again. |

Well it was a bit scary, he had a few bloody puddles overnight. This morning we freshened everything (food, water, litter) closed the bedroom doors so he couldn't pee on the beds (he'd done this yesterday) When I got in from work no pee anywhere, one bowel movement in the litter put worse of all no food had been touched not water wet or dry food.
I took him back to the vet tonight and he's lost .4 kg since Thursday. His first owner is concerned but not willing to do anything further, if he'd needed to go into clinic for a few days it'd of cost over a thousand dollars. They told me to surrender him to the humane society if I couldnt pay. I can technically afford it, by cutting other things but my husband is not on board since we've already spent over $600 on vet bills and haven't even got him fixed. I'm desperately hoping he gets better from the mess and special diet. |
