Maybe getting new kitty.

I am going today to possibly adopt a siamese mix or possible Tonkinese 8 month old female. She is very beautiful. We currently have 2 dogs that have been raised around cats their entire lives. One is a 5yr old Boston and the other a 5 yr old Westie mix. We currently have one 14 yr old cat (Skittles). We took her and her litter mate sister in at 6 weeks old. A few weeks ago her litter mate (GiGi) passed away suddenly. Skittles has been deaf since birth. She is very loud and vocal (maybe because of her deafness?). (We believe both are/were Norwegian Forest Cats.) She has gotten worse since losing GiGi. We have always wanted a Siamese and decided to try to find one to adopt. Of course we know it will not likely be a full bred Siamese. Anyway, I am going to meet her today. Her foster mom says that she is good with other cats, dogs & children. We are so excited! I want to post a link here of her photo to see if anyone can help me with identifiing her breed. She may be a Siamese/calico mix. Petfinder Adoptable Cat | Tonkinese | Cypress, TX | Lila

I'm sorry about your loss! I hope your new kitty will fit in and Skittles will learn to love her too!

Lila looks very beautiful and like she is indeed a siamese mix. I understand that it is now possible to dna a kitty to determine what breeds they are. I've no idea of the cost or where you would get it done, but does it really matter? If you connect with her and she with you, that is really all that counts. I think I would fall in love with her on sight! Good luck!!

She's a doll. I love the name Lila. It suits her well. But I know it's fun to choose your own name. Let us know how it goes.
