Health scare funny...warning, gross content!

So, this morning around 1:30 a.m. I was woken up by the sound of a cat with diarrhea. Most people know the sound, pretty unmistakable, the squirting and faint russle of what it hits and all that. My cat has a sensitive stomach, so I'm always on the lookout for it. This went on forever. No other movement, no sound of leaving the catbox, just continual bowel problems like it's tearing her belly out. My heart's breaking; I can't afford a vet, and it sounds like it's just enough to kill her . I'm starting to cry. I can't stand to get up and make sure she's okay, because there's nothing I can do. I can still hear her in there. And....still hear her...and i know it's been a long time, but I can STILL hear her...what the heck? I finally got up, and when to her bed.

Her claws were making popping sounds kneading her pop-up play cube she loves to sleep in, and she was russling the paperwads in it while she cleaned.

That Rotten cat, to scare me like that!!!

Oh, dear, that must have been a terrible feeling for you. Let's hope she didn't do it on purpose!

And I do know the feeling, all too well. If I hear a cat meow somewhere in the house, I get that terrible sinking feeling deep in the pit of my stomach --- imagining one of the cats with some terrible disease or wound, the poor thing in agony, huge vet bills, and the eventual loss of a friend. Silly things, sometimes I think they just talk to hear themselves, but it certainly doesn't help my stress level......

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you criticize him, you're a mile away and you have his shoes.

Yeah...I never used to think twice about hearing a yowling cat, as from a cat fight...there were so many toms around home...then I heard a cat screaming and didn't act fast enough as a pit bull killed a cat I was very, very close to. Now, if there's a cat fight while I'm dead asleep, I'm out of the house and running before I even know I'm awake. Literally. It's so distressing. I'm standing out in the yard trying to understand why I'm panicking, and figure out if I'm even still asleep or not. God I miss those days of peace, just accepting that cats will fight and that's all there is to it.
