catnip?

i do have some toys with it in them but its old stuff and midnight dont play with them. in my old apartment we grew catnip in the garden. here's the question skeeter just acts like a silly cat with cat nip but midnight turns into the devils cat she will attack anything and even the other cats dogs and human when she gets it she is mean ears back hissy you name it. why dose she have this reaction to it? needless to say my cats dont get catnip any more except the 6yr old toys that have it in it and skeeter is the only one interested in the toys good thing.

Like any drug, individuals react differently, and this is especially true with catnip since it as a psychodelic drug.. Some of mine get pretty nasty when they're nipped-up, some lie on their backs and watch the ceiling change colors, and a few don't react at all. Reaction to catnip is genetically controlled; they either have the genes for it or they don't. I harvest some primo wild catnip here and after I strip the leaves and blossoms for their "stash", I throw the stems in the yard for my addicts. It's a free-for-all, and sometimes it gets pretty rough!

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you criticize him, you're a mile away and you have his shoes.
