"I can reach it!" - Gracie the communicator!

So, Gracie broke a little knick-knack in the bathroom night before last, a cute whimsical little hand-blown glass frog... Our first objet d'art casualty..

It was on a high windowsill out of reach, or so we thought! I was thinking about to put that stick-um stuff under it, but we used up our supply and I hadn't bought more yet. We also stash the Feliway diffuser up there on the sill but the glass frog was much farther from the counter with just wall below it.

I was in the bathroom yesterday looking for all of the pieces, while Gracie sat on the counter by the sink watching me. (The foot was mysteriously missing - I found it later in the tub.) Finally, in a peevish tone, I asked her "Gracie, did you crash my frog?" while I showed her a fragment in my hand.

She thought for a second, then crossed the counter, stretched way up and put her paws on the sill, patted the Feliway diffuser a few times, looked back at me over her shoulder, and then sat down again! All that was missing were the actual words..."Look Mom, I can reach here now!"

You better get some more of that stick-um stuff because she is too smart for her own good.

Sweet lil' Gracie was just showing you how high she can reach. Dontcha love it when they understand you, but answer in kitty terms?

I don't believe kitties get the concept of knickknacks

I think we say: knickknacks.
Kitty's hear: knockdowns.

We have no more knockdowns for the kitties to play with. Though the cats are teaching my mother about coffee mugs left near edges of flat surfaces.
