Do you think Spike will slow down, even a little once she recovers?

Leazie I doubt it ... one of my other cats Magic was the same as a kitten .... spaying didnt slow her down one bit ....she isnt such a hooligan anymore but she is almost 4 ..... but her character remains odd .... she likes to hang around at the offices and the workshop and all the staff here know and love her and she often takes drives with my hubby in his van ....

Very odd ***** cat

I was amazed at how fast Alvin and Tommy recovered after neutering.
Brought them home in the transporter, they got out and they carried on as if nothing had happened.

I had to do a check to make sure they had really been removed

Just out of curiosity.. how much does a spay or nueter cost in South Africa? Do just vets do it or does the SPCA do them also?

Merry because of the size of my crew I negotiate rates ... and I can also pay the amounts off if needed.

IMO its very important to find vets that will accept payment plans .. but I also have a good reputaion which helps.

The SPCA does it at a reduced rate depending on income .... I think they charge about R300.00 most vets however charge R800 for a spay and about R400.00 for a neuter.

I pay R250.00 at my vet in exchange for animal behaviour "lectures" in the consulting room .. this is telling people the basics of animal care etc ...

I have managed to find 3 vets in my area that I use for different problems.
