Sebastian is stuck inside his bathroom! HELP!

Long story short, Sebastian locked himself inside his bathroom while on a time-out. I've never seen a bathroom doorknob like this. It has no pinhole on the outside and the lock on the inside is like a tab that has to be pushed up. It's not automatic unlock when you open the door either. The tab has to be pushed back down. The hinges are on the inside too! My translator can't come with the maintenance guy for a while and Sebastian is freaking out, scratching and yowling. It's really stressing me out! I can't think. Can't get the screws in the knob to loosen and am currently trying the flexible plastic method. Any suggestions?

Off to the hardware store a few blocks away to get a small phillips head and some lubricant. Hopefully if I can get the knob off, I can get him out.

Crisis averted. Super mommy pulled a Jackie Chan and kicked the door in.

Took the door knob off, saw absolutely nothing, just a very small hole. The lock is made so that the actual lock mechanics are on the opposite side of the knob from the door jamb. I couldn't angle my screwdriver in enough to get at it. I've taken apart a few door knobs in the past while painting, but I've never seen one like this. After trying everything, I figured I might as well try good old fashioned force.

Maybe now baby will learn that if you wake mommy up at 5am by clawing up her leather headboard, she will put you on the worst time out of your life with no breakfast (intentional or not). Poor guy was in there for over 6 hours!

In that situation...I'd have to break down the door.

Inky got under the house once. Concrete foundation. He had been missing for a while and I'd been calling and walking the farmed fields around our home, looking for him. I only found him because the dog sniffed at a hole/crack in the foundation and I saw his paw come out and pat her nose.
I couldn't lure him back to the larger hole where he must have gone in, he kept sticking his paw out of the tiny crack. I called Hubby at work and he said he couldn't leave early. I sat and cried. I tried prying the concrete and I wasn't strong enough. I pushed dry food into the hole and later I squirted some water in there. We had to wait nearly 7hrs for Hubby to come home and he was able to enlarge the hole enough that Inky could squeeze through.
I was so happy to see him and he was very happy to be freed.

Hope you are able to get him out soon.
