How soon after?

I adopted a gorgeous little female tuxedo kitten today. She's a little over 3 months old, and they had her fixed early this afternoon. I picked her up around 4pm and since bringing her home have fed and given her water.

She attacked the food like she hadn't eaten in days (poor thing is a little underweight and looks like a little skeleton to me), drank and seems all around content, but she has not gone potty at all yet.

She has a large litterbox w/ easy access to use and I have shown her to it multiple times. I know she is litterbox trained, so I'm just curious if its normal for them to not go potty for a while after being fixed, since I assume their insides are a little sore?

I will be taking her in to my vet on Thursday to have her checked over...but in the meantime was hoping to hear what other people have experienced w/ their recently fixed kitties.

Since she had surgery today, that means food and water were withheld for a while beforehand, so she doesn't have much in the pipes. In addition, moving a cat to a new home may also cause a glitch in litterbox usage. So she has a double whammy against her. There's no cause for concern yet....
