Are boys affectionate?

I had my boy Dude, for 15 years. He was affectionate in his own way. He likes being near me, but not on me. And he hated being held.

Jamie, my girl, slept on my chest the first night she arrived and has been my lap cat and snuggle partner ever since.

I now have a new boy kitten, Joker, and I'm dripping affection on him. He will be held for a little while, then he gets squirmy. He will sit near me, but not on me.

So, the question for you all.
Are any of your boys very affectionate or lap cats?

There is a recent discussion on this already. We have one female and two boys, and the two boys are by far more cuddly and affectionate than our prissy female. But... I don't think there is a wrong or right answer. Just like people, each animal regardless of gender has its own personality. Heck, I have three lizards and each of THEM has a totally different personality
