HA! Take that gravity!

Man, I wish I had a picture.

My new bengal just spent a few minutes staring at the steps from the end table. Finally, he decided he could defy gravity and tried to go UP the bannister! Now, granted, it is a wide, wall banister, but still - gravity won...

He jumped, he held on for a few seconds, landed on the end table and sent EVERYTHING on said table crashing to the floor.

Then, of course, he washed his paws...

Or a very embarassed cat trying not to be obvious and hoping that no one saw what happened.

Isn't it typical of an embarrassed cat to wash his paws? I think it's an attempt to say, "I meant to do that!" Oh, what interesting little friends we have. They have their pride!

As Paul Gallico said in his book Jennie:

If in doubt, wash.

I adore the "I meant to do that" look. Pegs has an extra level though, as I found out the other day. I was playing some game on the comp, and Peggy was sat beside me. She eventually got bored of being ignored and walked across the keyboard in front of me. I promtly died (in the game....), but she carried on. She trod on the game box that was half over the edge of the desk and fell clean off. She got up instantly and gave me such a clear look that said "If you say a WORD, I WILL claw you in your sleep"

Scary.....
