a few questions!

Ok, I am fostering a litter of kittens and will be keeping two, a male and a female. I have already researched the food, and will be feeding a variety of grain free foods.
Evo canned
wellness canned and wellness CORE dry
natures variety instinct canned, raw and freeze dried
Before Grains for variety.

Should I leave any of these out? I bsically figured the more variety the better.

Next, the kittens are 12 weeks old. Because I am keeping a male and a female, when should I look in to spaying and neuturing them at the safest time? I dont want to risk surgury if they are too little, but I dont want to wait too long. They are still a little under 3 pounds

Finally, I need a carrier. I will have two, but what are everyones opinons on vet visits and trips? Should I have a large carrier so they can stay together or is it less stressful to have them in seperate carriers? I was thinking of getting the Petmate double door carrier in medium for one cat, but I wasnt sure how large a carrier should be. Will a medium be good for one average sized cat or should I go larger? I just wasnt sure if they would be more comfortable in a smaller one rather than one with extra room. Any opinions would be appreciated!

My twins were spayed as soon as they both reached two pounds (they were 10 weeks old). They were running around like monkeys that same evening. I bought a medium-sized dog crate so I can put them both in the same one when I take them to the vet. When I brought Cali to the vet by herself, it was the one and only time I've ever heard her cry, so they're taken together from now on.

I'm no expert on food, but you'll get lots of answers on that one.

Hey - we need pictures, please!

Don't leave the raw out.

You can get them spayed and neutered now. Some vets won't do them that young, but that's old-school. Pediatric de-sexing is becoming pretty common, so you should be able to find somewhere it can be done at 12 weeks (aka three months)
