Aarg! BooBoo, front yard and bugs. *mad*

BooBoo was crying, crying, crying yesterday evening to go outside, so I relented and let him out the front door. Usually this isn't a problem, I'll let select kitties (Boo, Mouse, S-Jo, Shasta) out one-at-a-time and they immediately roll on the hot concrete or start chewing grass.
BooBoo, however...trotted out into the grass. Then a grasshopper jumped/flew and he dashed after it. When it landed, another took off and he chased that one. Each successive bug was taking him further and further into the yard and closer to the 55mph road!
Here I am, running after him screaming "BooBoo! BooBoo!" and he's ignoring me because he is focused on the bugs! I caught him, long before he made it near the road, but I scooped him up and told him no more going out the front door because he is a 'runner'. If I let him out the front door again, I may have to put the harness/leash on him...if it weren't for the bugs leading him astray, we'd have been just fine.

Darn bugs! Bad influence!

Glad you caught him before he got too close to the road...

It's funny how they focus on bugs.
If there is a fly in the house she wants nothing to do with you. She will not stop until she traps it.

Oh, c'mon, Heidi, it's not that bad!
Arianwen munches the occasional bug, especially moths, but she told me it's the chase and play she loves, not the taste.

My kitties caught a couple of crickets. It's the least they can do to earn their room and board.

(I took them away after I saw them playing with the remains.)

I'm not a bug fan at all! Crickets, crunchy bugs.......ewwww, and what's the worst is when your walking, and those darn grasshoppers land on you! My kitties love to catch flies and spiders, and they eat them right up! Yuck!
