Look what Koko brought home

Duane & I were sitting on the deck and noticed Koko came strolling down the back driveway, dropped something at the edge of the yard and started playing with it. Too far away for us to tell what she had, I guessed she had a frog cause she had brought one to that same spot just a few days before. Duane guessed a bug cause she catches lots of those. Curiousity finally got the best of me & I had to go see what she was playing with. Was I ever grateful that she didn't bring it up to us when I saw it was a SNAKE!!! First time a cat of mine has ever caught a snake that I know of. Hope its the last time too!

EWWWWWWWW.

I had a dog that hunted snakes, but I have never known a cat to do it.

I worry about snake-catching here. I've received several snake presents. What worries me is that there are copperheads in the area. (I've actually seen two nearby.) So far, though, it's been mostly garter snakes, although just last month Robbie was playing with a fair-sized northern brown snake.

When I lived in Puerto Rico, my cats had the greatest time catching lizards. It was fun watching them, because the lizards' tails would snap off (they grew new ones), and the lizards would sneak off while the cats played with the wriggling tails!

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you criticize him, you're a mile away and you have his shoes.

Ok, between Heidi's bugs yesterday, and this little snake today...........this forum is really giving me the willies! Eeeekkk!!!! Snakes, as you can tell, are not high on my list of favorite things either! Though, I'd be interested to know what kind it is too.

What a silly kitty, I can just see the little snake wiggling back and forth, trying to get loose from the kitties teeth.

It looks like a kind of racer. I've had cats that caught snakes. One brought home a two foot long green racer once. I like snakes

Can he beat this?

PS - he was only able to get the one squirrel. After that, the news spread around and all the other squirrels were smart enough to stay out of reach.
