I'd been avoiding taking this step, used Borax(on the carpet) DAWN baths (on the cat) was set to try eucylyptus, nothing worked. So...
I followed the instructions on the bottle of Hartz flea spray, and Percy seems to be doing O.K.,so far. Ain't easy being a pawpa. Er,if this doesn't work, what's the next step? Napalm(for the apartment )?
you mite have to use advantage or frontline. i just had a problem with fleas what a pain. i had to treat 4 dogs and 2 cats with advantage and used the borax on the rugs. things are finaly getting better.
As far as I'm concerned, Advantage is the best option! It's the only thing I've ever used that has completely gotten rid of fleas. Borax is really just a good back up to treat the house if you've got a bad infestation.
I would throw away the Hartz. I'm glad your cat didn't have a reaction but it's really risky.
Advantage it is! Like I say,I didn't want to use chemicals, but the problem is getting way out of hand. I've noticed something else. Some of the fleas look like...wood slivers,or tiny pieces of bark-some...not so tiny.
