Tiger's going in tomorrow

To get neutered and the vet says no food after 6:00. The kitties have their own cat room, should i keep tiger in the cat room with door closed with no food and keep carmen out?. or would it be easier not to feed the both of them after 6 and just give carmen her food right after Tiger goes in?.

Assuming you feed twice a day? I would feed them both just before 6 and feed Carmen after you get home from the vet. I just went through this, getting one spayed and having another cat in the house. Keeping one cat out and feeding the other would have been asking for meowing and clawing at the door all evening, at least with mine.

That's what I do. Even the dogs loose their food if someone has to be without food or water.

edited to complete some words

I don't think you have to withhold water...
At least with surgery on humans you can drink water or any clear liquids.

It is food and water that have to be with held. You don't want anything in the stomach that can be thrown up and go down into the lungs when they are under anesthesia.

How is Tiger doing today?
