New Fountain!!!!

My3babies (M3B) and I decided to stop at Petco this evening to browse. It'd been a few weeks since we'd gone.

We found a fountain that we didn't already own! Prior to this evening we had:
Drinkwell Platinum
Drinkwell original
Freshflow
Cat-it Dome

Well, I don't know if anyone has seen this one yet, but they have a new style Cat-it. It's a bowl. You put the pump in the bottom, then a circular filter on top of that, then the blue drinking surface. The water bubbles up through the middle. The cats seem to really like it (they were drinking in seconds and right after they had supper - wet food with extra water in it). It looks like it may be the easiest to clean fountain yet! All the parts (except the pump) can go into the dishwasher and should get really clean (no little nooks or crannys).

I think I like it! Has anyone seen or bought this one? Here are some shots of it...

Re: New Fountain!!!!

That is a really cool looking fountain. Do you think it would still be easy to clean if you have to wash it by hand (no dishwasher at my house other than me).

Re: New Fountain!!!!

That looks like one all my cats would love! Is it quiet? The Drinkwell is SO noisy!
Thanks for telling us about it.

Sue

Re: New Fountain!!!!

I think it'd be super easy to clean by hand. I should have mentioned the price, that was another huge bonus, it was $29.99 at Petco and this week they have $10 off. So we paid $19.99 for it (way cheaper than the $70 drinkwell platinum). Also, it's virtually silent. We unplugged the drinkwell platinum and plugged the new one in. It's SO quiet. I love my drinkwell platinum...but I may be moving it to a room where running water is less disturbing...like the bathroom and keep the new cat-it downstairs with us!

That looks excellent! And the price was certainly right. The pictures were great, but now I'm so envious of your tuxedo cat!

Re: New Fountain!!!!

Thanks for sharing your new find. I've never seen a fountain like that, but your posting makes me want one! Is that a big filter pictured in the 3rd image? Are they expensive?

Found a link on Petco's website: http://www.petco.com/product/107939/Cat ... -Cats.aspx
Free shipping if you spend more than $50 too!

This fountain has always intrigued me as well, but it looks kind of BIG! http://www.petco.com/product/106162/Cat ... -Dogs.aspx
Anyone have one?

Re: New Fountain!!!!

Yeah, that's the original Cat-it, the Cat-it dome. Mine was continually slimy. Others haven't had the same problem...probably something that I'm doing when I clean it.

I haven't priced the filters...I'm assuming they are similarly priced to the other ones.

Re: New Fountain!!!!

If it's really quiet, Arianwen might have one soon. She's a real stickler for very fresh water.

Re: New Fountain!!!!

Oh, I like the silent part. I think that's why Patches won't drink from the fountain I have, because of the noise. That, and as the water goes out of the bowl, and water is released from the water bottle, it makes a loud bubbly sound. Does this one do that?
