Requesting good thoughts and purrs for Shasta...

I am taking Shasta to the vet tomorrow at 3pm.
Now that I think about it, she has seemed a little off the past 2-3 days. I do not think she ate much yesterday (I don't recall seeing her at the canned food plate) and I know I haven't seen her eat anything today and has been isolating herself under the recliner or on the kitchen chairs tucked under the table. I even tried tempting her with cooked chicken and she refused.

We were getting ready to leave for a Dr. appt for hubby and I weighed her. She has lost 2.5 pounds! I called my vet office and got the appt for tomorrow at 3pm.

I had picked her up to comfort her after she vomited and she 'feels' fine, not bony, but she did feel 'light'. That was when I weighed her; 9#. When I checked my chart on the fridge (I weigh the cats periodically and write it down with dates on a paper) and her last weight was 11.5# so that is quite a significant drop. There have been a few vomit piles that I thought were from Mousie (who has a possible tumor) but I saw Shasta vomit yesterday (white foam) and today just before we left for the Dr appt (more white foam) and she has vomited twice this evening, a dark orange-y yellow.

We cuddled on the couch and she purred with me, rubbing her face on the brush, but she does feel hot. Hotter than two of the other cats sitting nearby that I put my other hand on to compare. Anyhow, please send her good thoughts and healing wishes.
I'll update tomorrow after the vet visit.

She's GORGEOUS! You don't post enough pictures of your kitties, Heidi.

Paws and fingers crossed here. Poor little girl, I hope you get some answers and she's feeling better soon.

Thoughts and prayers, with fingers and paws crossed for Shasta.

May the kitty guardian angels bless and keep her.

Re: Requesting good thoughts and purrs for Shasta...

Thank you. I offered her canned all by herself (no competing) and she sniffed but walked away. At least she came to me, tail up, and rubbed against my legs, so I don't think she is too bad off. I'll have to see what the vet wants to do to treat her. I just gave everyone catnip and she is usually a catnip monster, and she was very subdued about the whole affair. Sniffed, maybe licked a few, but didn't do her usual catnip monster routine.
I hope she feels better soon.

Best wishes to Shasta and to you at the vets. She is a truly beautiful girl. I agree with Marie, more pictures of your kitties would be welcome.
