Oliver's brother, Larry....I'm so upset!

My friend that had the cat that gave birth to Oliver and his siblings, decided to keep one of the kittens, Larry. He developed bathroom issues and stopped using the box so they made him an outdoor cat. (Mind you, they also 4-paw declawed him ). My friend still fed him so he at least had that. Well I guess he darted in the door everytime someone opened it so last week, her and her husband dropped him at a farm. Also, the tip of his tail froze off because they wouldn't let him inside in the cold weather. I'm so furious. My little sister was telling me this because she is married to my friend's brother.

She treats her other 2 cats fine, but did this to Larry. You either have feelings for animals or don't, and now I feel she doesn't.

I'm just so sad and feel so bad for Larry.

Edit: spelling error

I dropped a friend like a hot potato when I saw her become an un-repentant revolving door for the latest pet she "wanted" and then got tired of taking care of when it became work and took some effort.
I told her why, too.

Poor, poor Larry. Abandoned, cold and defenseless. May the creatures that did that to him be likewise treated in **** for all eternity.

Any way you can find Larry and, if you can't keep him yourself, get him into a shelter?

Oh Heather I have tears in my eyes. How upsetting this is.

Do you think you should contact these people whether by a letter or phone call and let them know what an aweful fate they assigned to this cat. They need to hear the truth. It tares my heart apart reading about it. Is there any way your sister could go get this cat?

Its a long slow painful death for him when left like this. Better euthanized than scared, starving, in pain and poor health. People amaze me on how cruewl they can be. Ill will be praying for this kitty. I am so sorry for him and for you too. It has to be breaking your heart. You have faced the hardest issues with compassion and patience and love. Now this..

How people treat their pets says a lot about them doesn't it?

I 100% agree.

I would go try to find the cat but they live in Illinois and I'm in Kansas. Honestly, I don't think I letter or phone call would help. They'd just be mad at me for butting in.

Cats have a real sense of where they've been so maybe he'll try and travel back to their house...maybe then they will realize what they've done.

Kind of on a side note...I was at PetSmart the other day, just to go look at the kitties. One of the cat's description was that it was "too playful" and "meows alot" so that is why the owners gave them up. I would have given ANYTHING for that to be Delia and Oliver's only problems. People don't realize what a blessing a meowy and playful cat really is!!

Too playful and meows alot? I think those are positives in a kitty!

I am so sorry about Larry. Maybe it will all work out ok for him. There is a neighborhood cat who is 4 paws declawed and his hunting skills are amazing. I will keep him in my thoughts.

Re: Oliver's brother, Larry....I'm so upset!

This makes me want to tie their hands together and throw them in the wilderness. A long, slow death is too good for them.

I hope Larry finds a loving family.
