Skylar has a Mini Me!

Kitten is still unnamed... and still "not staying"

I'm amazed at how well the two are getting along and its really only been a week. They aren't close by any means, but Skylar follows the kitten everywhere and they are playing all the time... mostly chasing and playing footsies, not getting too physical yet. And Skylar still growls half the time. But its cute.

Part of it honestly might just be the kitten turning into a regular cat... but I'd like to think she's following in Skylar's foot steps.

Skylar is in love with my brother's back pack. Any time its laying down, she's on top of it. I came home the other night, and found not Skylar, but the kitten asleep on top of it! Skylar also has a tall but skinny and Skylar loves to climb to the top and balance up there for a while. Tonight, I came into my room and found the tiny kitten sprawled out at the top, all four legs dangling under her with this "uh oh, how do I get DOWN?" look on her face! She got down while I was running for the camera though And just tonight, I came home from running and BOTH kitties are asleep at the top of the cat tree! The kitten even claimed the very top, and Skylar is down a level.

I have pictures of all of those but can't get to the main computer yet. And of course, videos of them playing footsie

And even more like Skylar than anything else, the kitten has learned to sing for her supper. I go in the kitchen... they both come running and screaming around my feet. Its a little kitty chorus now!

hehe so cute... i never realized how entertaining a cat could be until i got Delaney... I could watch her for hours... she finds joy and fun in just about every object LOL

My sister's cat loves sleeping on weird things too.. we just recently moved into a new apartment and the shower curtain was laying on the ground... well Maurice thought it made a great bed and napped on it all day LOL

Keanu and Chica are backpack fans! They love to climb them while they are leaning against a wall, and when they are on the floor they sit and/or perch on them, and will nap too. It's the darndest thing!

I'm waiting until the question "how much longer is the kitten staying?" from my mother turns into "well, I guess she's staying" so I can convincer her it was her idea

Re: Skylar has a Mini Me!

I forgot to post the pictures/videos tomorrow, I promise!

So... as far as names go I think I've decided to go with the letter C. While I think she should have something very pretty and feminine, I'll admit I'm drawn to somewhat unisex names, or at least names that are typically male...

Brody and Skylar are both my girls but everyone thinks they are boys based on names.

Anyway, I may have narrowed it down to Carsyn or Camden. I've always really liked the name Carson and had it on the list of names that would go to the next dog (preferably male anyway) I get. Of course, those names always end up going to the new girl pets in my life

What do you think?

That's how Charlee got her name.

Camden. All I can think of when I hear that is 7th Heaven.

I like Carsyn.

Re: Skylar has a Mini Me!

What about Carmen? I like Camden though. I barely watch tv so I can't reference it with anything

I did the "How long is he staying?" thing with my new kitten, Rongus. At first my older cat HATED him, but now they play all the time. I'm so glad (and I'm sure he is, too) that Klunk now has a playmate other than the dogs!
