I made my own cat wands! :)

I just wanted your opinions! I bought some supplies and made some kitty toys since we have our kitten coming in august and Tyger was in desperate need of a wand as well since she has completely destroyed hers. lol. Anyways, I was also going to ask you guys if you think its safe to use hot glue to put the feathers on...I have no clue. I don't know how people usually get the feathers to stay on cat toys. I just used hot glue and covered the tips with ribbon. I figure it doesnt really matter for me since they will only be playing under my supervision. But I am considering starting to sell them(along with blankets, dog toys and blankets) and cat trees, because they make for fun projects for me and we have a farmers market in our city where you can rent tents every spring and summer every weekend. The 3rd one was Tygers favorite

Those are great! I would certainly buy one! I think the hot glue is fine, like you said, they only play with them under your supervision.

Nice work! They look great, and I think that hot glue is fine.

The best part is you can take charge of the safety of the parts and pieces if you do them yourself...I worry about all the Chinese components of cat toys...

I am still looking for a nice source of natural feathers - undyed, since I don't always trust the colors for safety and color-fastness. That, and natural leather...

Those are awesome! I have parrots, and would be willing to collect and sell their flight/etc feathers for you, if you'd like. All natural, no dyes, come in green, green/blue, yellow, and grey.
