BEST LITTER

What do you use????

A 14lb tub of "Ever Clean" litter came with my cat's litter box when I purchased it; I really like the smell of it, and the clumping effect. I think it's a good litter, but I can't seem to find it for sale by itself around here!!! It's running low now and I need to pick up some more litter.

Does anyone recommend "Tidy Cat", and if so, what variety? I have 1 adult cat, his litterbox is in the bathroom, and he doesn't have any litter problems. I like clumping litter! I know it sounds silly, but the clumping is so easy, it almost makes scooping fun.

Is Tidy Cat similar to Ever Clean??

Is it okay to mix litter of different brands? Or should I completely change the box if I'm going to change brands?

Re: BEST LITTER

Ever Clean is the best litter I've ever used. For the last 2 years I've been trying other litters because I wanted something lighter (non-clay) to carry (my boxes are upstairs) and not as dusty...but I've finally gone back. My house stunk using the other stuff. No smell now.

You can get Ever Clean at Petco & Petsmart, not available at supermarkets or Walmart. It's expensive....

Oh good to know!!!

The lady at the shelter (where I bought the litterbox & litter as a package together) advised me it was her favorite kind, too, and she uses it for her cats....

I'll have to look closer at Petco for it - I was just there too!

Re: BEST LITTER

I use Tidy cats smalls spaces for my 2 cats. we scoop the box once a day and there's no odor. I like tidy cats because it clumps well and is low dust.

Re: BEST LITTER

I personally use Fresh Step Scoop able litter. It's the best in my opinion. But then again, that's all I've used.

Re: BEST LITTER

It's Fresh step non-clumping for me and the girls, by the 50 pound bag.

The last time people tried to elimate free roaming cats it resulted in The Black Plague.

Re: BEST LITTER

I personally have only found scoop away to get rid of odor. It does have a lot of powder but its worked the best. I cant remember the names of the other litters Ive used but while some of them clumped better, they all STUNK.
