Help: Just rescued a 3 week feral kitten (pics inside)

My mom rescued a 3 week old feral kitten and bottle fed her for two weeks. I decided to take her, and she has been w/us now for 4 days. She is now 5 weeks old. She seems to be adapting really well - I weened her off the bottle in 2 days, and she is now on straight wet food out of a small bowl. My 6 year old cat is not very thrilled to have the kitten here. I was quite surprised, as Macy is such a sweet, good natured, flexible cat. She is super laid back, loves people, and has never had a problem when introduced to friends cats or dogs. She has been hissing at the baby kitten (also a female), but not as much today as the first few days. She swat at her once, but I don't think trying to hurt her, just establishing dominance. She hides in the bedroom most of the day. She didn't eat the first night we brought the kitten home, but seemed to eat normally after that. She doesn't come running as quickly when I say "Macy, do you want a treat" - but she still comes. I am just wondering how long it will take for her to adapt. We are very careful to shower her with as much attention as the baby. I feel really guilty for stressing her out - Macy is my main priority, and I was hoping she would take over the maternal role and learn to love this baby.....

Oooooohhhhh! I think you're killing me with cuteness!
Give it some more time, Macy needs time to get used to the new baby bein gin her home. Eventually, she will get used to the sight, smells and sounds of the kitten. The good thing about kittens, is they think everyone is their friend and even when other cats hiss at them, they don't understand and keep trying to play and be friends...*usually* this eventually wears down the adult cat and they just cave and give in, like: Oh, alright! You aren't going away, so I guess I'll play with you and groom you. But you better behave, little missy, or I'll box your ears!

Oh I wouldn't worry about it yet. It took our resident cat a few days to warm up to the kitten, and I've heard that it takes some cats much longer. My prediction is that they will get along just fine with a little time. She may not ever feel maternal toward the baby--just the way it goes sometimes--but I'm sure they'll tolerate one another.

Gizmo acted really unhappy when we first brought Gadget home and I felt guilty too. Now he loves her. Hang in there; she won't hold it against you, I promise. From what you've said it sounds like she's handling the change pretty well (for a cat ).

Bella is adorable, by the way.

...I think Bella is a Tortie-Meezer. tortoiseshell + meezer (siamese -> 'mese -> meezer) Tortie because she looks like she has both black/red color genes, making her a calico, or Tortie, with no agouti. Her coloring and markings will show up better as she matures.

Update on Bella:

Well Bella is growing REALLY REALLY fast all she does is play, play, play, and eat and crap. She gets along with Macy the other cat fine but is jelous of her. when we pet macy, bella will stop doing whatever she is and run over and swat at macy. She still bites when being held too long and is EXTREMELY HYPER!!!!!! She runs a lot and is often found in places she shouldnt be. She loves food and playing. Hopefully she will stop biting or biting less. I often find her in her basket at night biting the edges of the furry basket and moving her legs and arms in a wierd way like she is trying to get a better grip in her mouth. She has done this since we had her and still does it. People say its cuz she was left by her mommy at too young of an age.

here is a recent video of her in a rare moment where she is calm listening to techno music. she loves techno and trance music.

here she is a better video of her playing in a box
