Think Like a Cat

Has anybody read the book Think Like a Cat by Pam Johnson-Bennett? This book was recommended to me while I was raising the feral kittens, so I decided to pick it up for a read to see if it had any tips for taming ferals...

It is a great book, I highly recommend it to ALL cat owners! It's got some great chapters on playing, health issues, introducing a cat to your home, and some other great topics. Yes, there is a lot of information that most of us already know, but there is also a lot of behavioral topics that I found very interesting.

Re: Think Like a Cat

Think Like a Cat and Cat vs Cat by the same author are both great books. Lots of insight as to cat though process vs our own. Cat vs Cat is for multi-cat owners and provides a great understanding of how cats interact, form hierarchies etc.

Re: Think Like a Cat

I found Cat v Cat the other day on Amazon so I stopped by the Barnes and Noble next door to my office but they didn't have it. I did sneak a peak at Think Like a Cat but it only had 1 chapter on introducing cats and that's what I'm interested in.

The last time people tried to elimate free roaming cats it resulted in The Black Plague.

Re: Think Like a Cat

Amazon usually has used book deals with ridiculously low prices, with some even 1 penny. You pay for shipping and handling, and all said and done the book is something like $3. I've used that many times and had good luck with it.

Re: Think Like a Cat

I got my copy of Cat vs Cat from Borders, you could try there. Although it was probably close to 3 years ago.
