upsetting end to the day

i was coming home and there was a cat in the road.... i turned round at the round about and went back and i picked him up, an carried him to the side of the road and he died in my arms. Someone had hit him. so i put him in my bag and took him to the vet and there was no tag and no chip.

Poor thing was only young, little tabby boy with four white socks.

Im really upset. I know people just dont care, but im more upset for the loss of this life. And for the family who wake up tomorrow and realise he isnt coming home.

Poor kitty, RIP little boy.

Unfortunately this is the risk people take with outdoor cats. If he did have a family I feel sorry for them and hope somehow they find out what happened to him, it would be stressful and heartbreaking to not know.

How wonderful of you to go back for him, and most especially, that he didn't die alone and unloved.
