Our Latest Visitor

For the last 4 Days this kitty has been living in the potting shed and last night I finally let him in and got him into the cellar as there is now another cat in the shed who isn't looking too healthy (will be taking a closer look and seeing what I can do for the other poor guy today). He is obviously someone's cat as he has on a brown studded collar and is really affectionate so hopefully somebody will call as I'm putting up posters today. I'm not letting him near the house cats though the boys, Kipling and Connelly, have been sniffing at him under the door. Here is a pic of him before I got him downstairs. He's a beautiful guy!

ps. The short tailed cat came back last night too!

Re: Our Latest Visitor

Can you check him for a chip? I've never done it but it looks like a shelter can scan him for a chip.

The last time people tried to elimate free roaming cats it resulted in The Black Plague.

Re: Our Latest Visitor

That's a great idea! You would think, since I've had all of mine microchipped, that I would have thought of that but no. Am without a car today but if I don't hear anything by tomorrow, posters are up, I'll be taking him in to be scanned. He's not neutered but they may have had him chipped anyway.

Re: Our Latest Visitor

He's a handsome man. I bet his family is frantic looking for him.

Did you call the local shelter to tell them that you found him? When Taz went missing that was the first place I contacted.

Re: Our Latest Visitor

Yes, I phoned the Humane Society and the local vets and no one has anything on him. Kipling and Connelly have been growling at him under the door and attacking each other this evening and he has been spraying his little heart out in the cellar so it's going to be an interesting night.
I've gone down to cuddle him quite a few times and he is a sweetheart. I hope someone is missing him and will call soon.

What a gorgeous boy. I'm so glad he found you, at least temporarily!

Re: Our Latest Visitor

Tatat is now home with his owner. Funny thing is I returned this cat to his owner a few months ago, only he didn't have his winter coat and seemed smaller. He was here for over a week that time but stayed in the courtyard as it was warmer. I thought he looked familiar and he came right up to me this time. The guy saw his picture in the post office both times.

Re: Our Latest Visitor

Glad he got home but . . .I hope he's at least neutered if he's being allowed to wander free?

Re: Our Latest Visitor

Sounds like Tatat has chosen a new owner.

Choosen, chosen? I have no idea but at least I know I'm probably wrong.

Re: Our Latest Visitor

No he's not neutered and both times I've told the young guy who owns him that he'd better get him neutered if he doesn't want him taking off and bringing unwanted kittens into the world. It's so frustrating!
You may be right Dave as both times he made no attempt to leave. I got the address this time but I don't think I've seen the last of Tatat.
