Finally, a way to keep the cats off the counters!

I've read a lot of posts on CatForum of people complaining about their cats always getting on the kitchen counters, and they're always told that there is nothing that can be done.

Well no longer!

Here is a sure-fire way to keep kitty with his feet firmly on the floor:

Hahaha! Oh wow, that is too funny to seem cruel.. it's not physically harming the cat so.

EDIT: Good one too.

A tribute to America's underemployed engineers.

"The table below shows how much money would normally go into a project like this. This isn't to say that I've spent this much, as I already had everything lying around the place, but if somebody else were to start this project, this may be what they should expect to pay.

Item Notes Price
Strobe Light Bought from Spencer's 20.00
Blender Housewarming present, woot. 50.00
X10 Firecracker Check Ebay and Amazon if you're looking for one 12.00
X10 Appliance Module You wouldnt want a Lamp Module for this. 12.00
Network Camera D-Link DSC-900 120.00
Project Cost $214.00 "

Or $1.50 worth of tinfoil.

The last time people tried to elimate free roaming cats it resulted in The Black Plague.

That is very amusing but I note that the number of videos suggests that black-and-white kitty is still jumping on the counter.

That cat was flyingggg!! I couldn't believe my eyes, you see the cat up on the counter like nothing and a second after scrambling like a mad man off of it. XD

Re: Finally, a way to keep the cats off the counters!

I was seriously thinking of doing something like this...then I just gave up. There's nothing on the kitchen counters right now, no dishwasher detergent, no scrubbing sponge. We're running out of cupboard space to stuff everything in! You'll occassionally find a pot of soup in the oven or a cup of tea in the microwave!

How do you deal with the possibility of the cat jumping on the stove though?
