Never ceases to amaze me that although cats may like some of the expensive toys or toys you invest tons of creativity on, the ones they go just nuts for had no intention of being toys for them
His new fave: a suture kit
It is used to practice making stitches, so lots of string. The board that imitates tissue has different cuts and holes in it of varying depths, shapes, sizes. It comes with sutures (all sizes, shapes, colors!) with needles attached and you can practice different sutures on it: simple interrupted, running, subcuticular, figure of 8, etc....
He goes CRAZY watching the string disappear and reappear and not knowing where to expect it to pop out, like whack-a-mole for cats!
Well, his enthusiasm makes suture practice nearly impossible and he cries when I go into a room and lock him out
. And then the kit has to be stored away and foolproof
. Can't have him getting near those needles specifically designed to pierce flesh now =/.
Guess it makes sense why a kitty would like it.
