Meet Hobbes(possible second cat)

Meet Hobbes or orange fur covered h*ll(Uncle's name for him) .My Uncle called me today and said his neighbor was put in a nursing home and the relatives just left the cat with him.I know nothing about this cat.No vet records or anything. So he's stuck in the the garage til I can get him checked out at the vet tomorrow.I really can bring him in til he's been looked over and checked. He seems really sweet but nips if touched for more than 5 minutes. If he gets along with Boo and my parent's dog and is healthy I'll be keeping him. Also How can I keep him cool in the garage since the weather has been a little warm?

If the garage has a concrete or dirt floor he'll be OK.

I love orange cats. Hobbes is a big handsome boy.

It has concrete but it was a little warm inside earlier so it had me worried.

Kitties can take more heat that us humans can. Make sure he has plenty of water and maybe put a fan in there, if he's hot he'll go by the fan.

I hope all is well with him and that he'll make a great addition to your home.

He's a cutey!

Too keep my kitties cool in the summer I've filled hot water bottles with cold water, or given them ice in their water dish. Between that and a fan they manage ok.

Hobbes didn't stay after he attacked my dad's dog who wouldn't defend himself and needed stitches.A vet-tech at the local Vet is fostering him thank goodness or the shelter would have put him down for being a dangerous animal.Harvey the dog wasn't even near him(in another room) and Hobbes got out due to my two year old cousin opening the door to my basement bedroom where Boo and Hobbes were with out her mother telling me he was out because she thought we tried tried socializing them already. All heck broke lose Harvey didn't know what to do since he was partially raised by a cat and Boo jumped in and protected Harvey.Boo is fine but Harvey looks like a big dog attacked him.All that happened before any of us could get to them to stop them and was over before we left the last step to the basement with Boo chasing Hobbes away from Harvey.I feel horrible but I really didn't think of seeing how Hobbes acted around Harvey since I didn't wanna over stress him because of the fact he just lost his owner and had a vet visit and was gonna wait a while to try.
