Lazy Sunday morning

My wife is working today so it seemed like a good time for Ossie and I to catch up on some "Bird TV".

That's cute! My cats would probably like that too. I saw a video on youtube of a frog playing a fly catching came on an iphone. It was too funny.

I am sure it is hours of entertainment We have a bird feeder in the window and the cats love to pretend some day they will catch one. They just don't get the whole glass concept.

I was taking care of my sons indoor cat while he and his family changed posts in the army. She was used to seeing birds out the window, but this was a whole new experience - maybe for both of them!

Io gets too confused with Youtube. She can't decide between staring at the screen or the speakers.

Ossie just seems so mellow. "Go away, Pa! I'm watchin' my stories!"

At the lake, the cats watch the hawks, miscellaneous small birds, wild turkeys, deer with fawns, and cougars (he came up in the yard next to the house, while my husband was standing there - he got a picture).
I have to scope out the area before I take the dogs outside. lol
But it is great entertainment for the dogs and cats.

Hmm, I don't know about birds but Mom and I were watching a documentary on a Mongolian Tribe this weekend and Shepherd Book was OBSESSED with the that were running around on the TV. I kept rewinding that section. He'd jump up and pawing at the screen.

I guess he's about the BIG prey.

The real story: Oscar was sitting on my lap (kind of off to the side) while I was messing around on the computer and he caught notice of the mouse cursor movement. I remembered reading about those videos for cats on youtube so I thought I'd see if he would be interested. Turns out he thought that was pretty cool.

They have real bird feeders outside their windows, too, and love that as well.

That is so funny! I just gave it a try and neither of my cats seem very interested in youtube birds. We have a big backyard so I guess they get enough bird watching out the windows.

I do remember once a few months ago I was watching a documentary on a lion pride. Sassy was sitting on the arm of my chair and suddenly I realized she was actually watching the screen very intently. She was so fascinated by those big kitties she sat there and watched the whole documentary with me!
