Your Cats Fav Toys?

So I haven't gotten my new kitten yet, but I'm buying things in for it coming. I've been looking at toys. There are a lot of them out there that all seem to do the same thing. I don't want to waste money on things my cat won't play with.So I thought I would come here for other opinions. Does your cat have a favorite toy?

My cat loves the soft, fuzzy little balls you can buy in packages of 3 (I think). They're light and apparently lots of fun to bat around and since they are cloth, they are also good for carrying around or holding in your claws. Of course one of her all time favorites is a wadded up ball of aluminum foil. And individually wrapped mints 'mutter'. Things like Da Bird or other cat teasers are great ways to make sure they get lots of exercise as is a cheap laser pointer (not pointed ever towards their face).

Another of her favorite things is a cardboard box that I cut an opening in one end. I used to leave it upside down like a cave or house, but I've since flipped it up and put some of her balls and mice (the little felt/cloth mice) in it for her to play with.

For the ones that you actually need to pay: No.1 goes to Da Bird! My cats go crazy with that toy No.2 will be a laser pointer. Everything else I bought them (toy mice, balls, other wand toys) seems to be waste of money. They either don't play them at all, or lost interest after a few minutes.

For the toys that doesn't cost you a dollar: No.1 is crampled paper ball! I found the small ones made of grocery receipt are their favorite. Bigger ones using A4 paper are ok though. No.2 is plastc straw. I also want to nominate plastic spoon, ping-pon ball, and plastic bottle cap

My kitten loves to play with a straw! She also loves a dangling toy on a stick. I once had a cat who played with the plastic from the cap of a milk carton. I think most cats are easily pleased, especially kittens! Anything that moves keeps my kitten amused.

my cat makes his own toys and doesn't care about any toys i buy for him. He plays with milk rings, plastic bags, nerf gun bullets, basically small and lightweight plastic pieces he can play fetch with or another game he loves to fish them out of his bowl, or stick under closed door and try to get them out. he does like laser and chasing a string but gets bored with it fast. we also play catch when i go around and hide behind the corners and he is trying to catch me, or i pretend im looking for him and he hides somewhere and when i get near he jumpes out of his hiding spot. i guess it depends on a kitty, you just have to try different things and see what they like.

Right now 12 (?) year old Missy's favourite toy is a shiny aaa battery that fell to the floor. It's hard to know what will attract a cat to play. As most play is a sort of practice hunting, I would think a kitten would need to be taught. It's been many, many years since I interacted with a kitten. I always used a piece of rolled paper tied to the end of a string. Great fun. I must try that with Missy. She's a bit on the lazy side.

She doesn't play with her furry mice at the moment. I think I'll hide them for a while. The grey one shaped like a mouse got lots of attention. The plump white one has been mostly ignored. I got both at a dollar store.

Really. Improvised toys may be best until you get to know your kitten.

Da Bird.....is da bomb of all cat toys for my guy...

There are a few attachments for Da Bird, and his favorite is Da Fur...He goes wild for it.
I have so much fun playing with him and seeing him enjoy himself.
Get the Da Bird and also get the accessory attachment Da Fur...Your kitty will love you even more for it! =)
