Pet Ash Memorial Bead

I think these are way way cool. Made by artist on Etsy.

https://www.etsy.com/listing/1824739...w_type=gallery

Each of these memorial Ash Beads are custom made with the ashes of your loved ones passed.

I make each of these beautiful keepsake beads by hand, one at a time. I use a torch, and rods of special, colored, silvered glass. The glass is melted and formed it into a round bead. A very small amount of ashes are incorporated into a spiral design on the bead, then the entire design is sealed in a clear layer of glass. The ash becomes part of the bead and can always be kept close.
The colors are ethereal, like a planet or a universe, or the infinite heavens. Each individual bead is a unique and lasting gift - just like the memories of your loved one.

I need 1/2 teaspoon of ash per bead, and I return most of it back to you.

If you decide to have me create an ash bead, I will send you a padded, pre-paid envelope, along with instructions and a small tin where you will place the ashes. Send me about teaspoon of ashes for each bead and any photo, letter, or story about your loved one. When your bead is complete, you will receive within 2 to 4 weeks, the bead or beads you requested and any photos and information you may have sent me. The bead will be finished with your choice of an 18 inch sterling silver or gold filled chain, and clasps. Bead caps and head pins finish the bead into a pendant.

How Beautiful!

An everyday family name; A particular name;
And the name but the Cat Himself Knows, and will never confess." T.S. Eliot

My sister has a business of her own selling these. I have beads from my Grandmother and my Dad. They are beautiful. It has become quite a profitable business for her as well as she loves doing it. She has been in business since 2005.

Gorgeous. If I was inclined to jewelry I'd buy one. We still have Zipper's ashes that have not been scattered yet. Waiting until we get the mulch blown in to do that so they won't blow away.

I wonder how sturdy they are. I'd love to have this, but I'm kind of hard on jewelry. Always banging them into stuff at work and crashing around like a drunken bull..... I'd worry I'd smash it and then I'd be really upset I had done something to 'my pet'... (as dumb as that sounds).
